Xiaomi, in the last few months, has been pushing Android 10 to its device. However, the Mi CC9 Pro, which is the first device to debut a 108MP camera lens commercially, hasn’t received the OS upgrade. The device surprisingly debuted with Android 9 based on MIUI 11 and has remained stuck since then.
According to a recent report coming out of China, the Mi CC9 Pro Android 10 will start arriving soon. The news came from the official Xiaomi Weibo mount account about the OS upgrade.
The update will be arriving with bug fixes, system optimization, and updated Android security patch. Also, it will improve fingerprint, camera, and system speed. A new shooting mode will be added to the camera as well. As for the time frame, the update will start arriving from mid-April.
Meanwhile, the Chinese version of the device is currently on closed Beta testing for Android 10. The testing has been going on for weeks now, and it’s likely to start arriving for the public on the said date. Follow this link to download Mi CC9 Pro Android 10 for Chinese Beta.
A reminder that Mi CC9 Pro debuted November 2019. It runs Snapdragon 730G paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. The screen sports 6.47-inch display with an ultra-thin in-display fingerprint scanner and a notch for the 32MP selfie snapper. At the back is Penta- arrangement of primary 108MP shooter. There’s premium Edition with an 8P lens for better smartphone photography.

The battery is 5020mAh capacity and supports 30W fast charge via USB-C port. It keeps the 3.5 headphone jack, IR blaster, and multi-functional GPS. The device is priced at $499 and comes in colors of Magic Green, Ice and snow Aurora, and Phantom Black.
