It can be confusing, keeping up with the Xiaomi update policy when it comes to Android OS update. Naturally, Xiaomi phones are eligible for three support, which include two or one OS upgrade. All phones launched under the Mi series receive two Android OS. That makes the Mi CC9E eligible for Android 11. The device debuted in July 2019 with Android 9 and has since received Android 10. We were hoping the Android 11 will arrive with MIUI 12.5, but that’s not the case. That’s because the Xiaomi Mi CC9E MIUI 12.5 update has been released, and it is sans Android 11.
The Android 11 update will probably arrive much later, but it would have been nice to receive both upgrades simultaneously. Perhaps, there are few obstacles the company needs to overcome before upgrading the device to Android 11. Or has Xiaomi changed its plans about upgrading the device to Android 11? Well, we don’t think so. Redmi Note 8 has a similar development and has received the upgrade, we expect Xiaomi to do same for the Mi CC9E.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi CC9E MIUI 12.5 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 QFMCNXM. Of course, it brought features of the MIUI OS, but the attention has now turned to the Enached Edition. However, the build is exclusive to premium Xiaomi phones, so you don’t wait for it. If you’re an owner of the Mi CC9E, we recommend that you download and install the new update. It has addressed some problems affecting the device and improves performance.
