Xiaomi MI Mix 3 launch date confirmed to be on October 25

Rumors have already predicted an October 15 launch date for Xiaomi MI MIX 3. Since the device didn’t arrive last week as predicted, the Chinese OEM has now confirmed the official date for the launch. The MI Mix 3 launch has been scheduled to take place in Beijing China, on October 25Th.


Xiaomi MI Mix series has always offered a high body-to-screen ratio and will be carried over to the MI mix 3. Things are likely to be different this time with Xiaomi introducing a manual slider design like in the Oppo Find X, to eliminate the possibility of a notch while boosting the screen space to 100%.

About the specs, not much has been revealed. But we do know it will be debuting with Snapdragon 845 under the hood and possibly an 8GB RAM. It has already been confirmed that MI MIX 3 launch will unveil for the first time a hardware button that will activate Xiao AI (Xiaomi assistance). Though we have seen the feature debut with MI MIX 2s, but no button is designed specially to trigger its operation.


The screen is most likely to be AMOLED display and will feature an on-screen identification scanner that first debuted with Vivo X21 UD. The selfie camera has also been rumored to be integrated on the slider along with the 3D structured light module for facial identification. Technically, MI Mix 3 will feature a dual means of biometric authentication as we have seen in POCO F1 and Oppo R17 Pro.


We expect to learn about the pricing and market waves at the MI Mix 3 launch, which is coupled of weeks from now. But looking at how Xiaomi has priced their high-end smartphones, the price will starts $450. However, everything for now apart from the launch remains uncertain until the device has been finally unveiled to reveal all the hidden details.
