Xiaomi MIUI 14 changelog revealed as the launch is postponed

The next iteration of MIUI – MIUI 14 – expected to arrive today, has been postponed. Xiaomi will release a new date for the event, and while we wait, the MIUI 14 changelog has been revealed.

MIUI 14 CHANGELOG

Xiaomi had plans to present MIUI 14 in China today, but due to the death of Jiang Zemin – former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party – the event was canceled. The company is expected to release a new date for the launch in the coming days. Nevertheless, we now know what changes MIUI 14 will bring, thanks to the leaked changelog.

It looks like Xiaomi is focusing on improving the fluidity and stability of MIUI instead bring new features. Although the MIUI 14 changelog revealed there’ll be a new system design with the introduction of the Super icon, the update is about improving the performance of MIUI.

Xiaomi plans to achieve less memory usage with MIUI 14, which means a swift and responsive performance over a long time. There’s an improved system architecture to boost the performance of pre-installed and third-party apps. Interestingly, system apps have been reduced to eight, meaning you can uninstall more of them now.

Meanwhile, these changes are expected in the Chinese ROM. The global users are only going to get a few of that, which has been the Xiaomi approach for years. Perhaps, there’ll be a Global release to announce the features that would arrive to Global users.

Xiaomi phones to get MIUI 14-based on Android 13

Xiaomi is only recruiting testers for the new build. The registration is on till December 28, and we think that’s when the stable version will start rolling out to everyone. According to reports, the flagship Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi 12S series, Xiaomi 11 series, Xiaomi Mix 4, Xiaomi Civi, Redmi K50 series, Redmi K40S series, Redmi Note 11T series, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro.
