MIUI 14

Xiaomi MIUI 14 is coming and is likely to bring Android 13

There have been leaks of the next iteration of MIUI (MIUI 14), with the latest one being that it will launch on November 19 alongside Xiaomi 13 series. While the time frame might not be the case, a new report shows that Xiaomi is ready to debut MIUI 14.

The latest information about Xiaomi MIUI 14 comes from the company via a post on the Chinese Mi community. According to the post “Over the past year, the entire team has put their heads down and launched a big new initiative. MIUI14, which will soon meet with you, is a start. One of the goals of MIUI14 is to make the most streamlined and lightweight flagship mobile phone system.”

Unfortunately, the company didn’t say when they’ll release MIUI 14 or when the official announcement will happen. However, we expect that in the next coming weeks. And given that we have seen the first official poster, which shows the MIUI 14 Logo, we expect other details on subsequent releases.

Meanwhile, from the information released so far, MIUI 14 won’t bring major virtual changes. The company will continue to focus on streamlining and making MIUI lighter. We also expect Xiaomi to introduce Android 13 with the update to eligible users.

Xiaomi MIUI 14 to bring Android 13 to eligible users

While major Smartphone makers are already seeding stable Android 13 with their in-house Android skin, Xiaomi is yet to commence deployment. Perhaps, the company plans to bring Android 13 and MIUI 14 simultaneously.

That seems to be the case, and with MIUI 14 an announcement imminent, we expect eligible phones to start getting the update soon. As usual, those in China will receive the update before global users.

While we expect Xiaomi 13 series to debut with MIUI 14, Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi 12S series, and Xiaomi 12T series are expected to get the update within the same period. You can follow us on Telegram to know when the update starts rolling out.
