The latest Android OS has been around for a couple of weeks now. Google released the source code to AOSP early last month to give OEMs a chance to start their stable beta tests. Of course, Xiaomi has been on that for quite some time to address issues before that final release. They already fixed some of the problems, and hopefully, we will see the stable Android 12 build in the coming days. Meanwhile, more devices are getting the Android 12 beta update. It’s the Xiaomi Mix 4 that’s receiving the update in China.
Xiaomi Mix 4 Android 12 beta update is the first development version of MIUI based on the latest Android OS. It means those participating in the closed beta tests are the ones getting the update. However, it won’t be long again before the public starts pushing the update, but that depends on how long it takes to address any issue that may arise.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mix 4 Android 12 beta update is part of the current MIUI 12.5 V21.10.29. Aside from introducing the new OS, the update brought multiple optimizations and improvements. However, given the issues of the new OS upgrade, we recommend that you take a backup of your data before downloading the update. That’ll come in handy should any issue that’ll need a factory reset comes up.
Aside from the features of Android 12, which you might not notice because of MIUI, the new closed beta update has added some new features. Check below for the complete changes.
