The entry-level king is back again with the release of Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. Both phones have a big display, uses a Mediatek processor paired with up to 3GB RAM, and big battery capacity. Outside-of-the-box, they’re graced with Android 10 based on MIUI 11.

Xiaomi Redmi 9C
The Xiaomi Redmi 9C is more premium of the two phones. It has a big 6.53-inch display of 720 x 1600p HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Under the hood is MediaTek Helio G35 Octa-Core processor. The SoC clocks at 2.3GHz and is paired with up to 3GB RAM.
Around the back of the Xiaomi Redmi 9C is a square camera housing, placed at the top right. It consist of a primary 13MP shooter, 5MP ultrawide-angle-lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits, with the LED flash filling the last slot. There’s a fingerprint scanner at the top center half of the phone while the front camera makes use of a 5MP snapper.

Power is drawn from a hefty 5000mAh battery with a 10W fast charging solution. The device runs stable MIUI 11 outside-of-the-box based on Android 10. Other features of the Xiaomi Redmi 9C include 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, USB C, IR Blaster, Dual SIM, and a memory expansion slot.
Xiaomi Redmi 9A
The Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C both share the same features aside from their processor and camera shooters. Xiaomi Redmi 9A uses a Mediatek Helio G25 Octa-Core processor with a frequency speed of 2.0GHz.
The camera is a single 13MP shooter with AI enchantments to achieve depth features while the front snapper is a 5MP snapper. It’s available in colors of Midnight Grey, Twilight Blue, and Peacock Green.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 A and Redmi 9C pricing and availability
Starting from July 7, the Xiaomi Redmi 9A will be available in both offline and online stores, starting at $83. The Redmi 9C will set you back $100 and comes in colors of Orange, Black, and Blue.
