Xiaomi Pad 6 starts getting Android 14 and HyperOS
It has been over a month since we reported that the Xiaomi Pad 6 Android 14-based HyperOS update is ready. The update is now rolling out to limited users in Europe, with the Global release expected in two weeks.
Xiaomi continues to upgrade eligible phones to Android 14 with stable HyperOS. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Android 14-based HyperOS update is exclusive to those in Europe. It’s the Mi Pilots members getting the much-anticipated upgrade for preview, and depending on the feedback, Xiaomi might release the update to more people.
The update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.3.0.UMZEUXM and weighs 4.3GB. It delivers the December 2023 security patch to increase system security and stability alongside the HyperOS features. They include a new animation language, system fonts, new home screen icons, and a redesigned weather app. Also, the control center has been revamped while connectivity and security have improved.
It will take a few weeks for the update to arrive for all eligible users. While waiting for the OTA, ensure your bootloader is locked. However, those with an authorized Xiaomi Beta account can use the link below and download the Recovery ROM.
