Xiaomi is currently working on the successor of last year’s Pad 5. The Xiaomi Pad 6 has appeared on the EEC certification website with details of the upcoming Tablet. It also hints at a possible launch time while features of the units remain scarce.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Tablets debuted in August last year, and it seems the company will uphold the same time frame for the Pad 6 series. Details of the Tablet have appeared on the Eurasian Economic Union Certification website with model number 22081283G.
Details of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series
According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi Pad 6 will debut in August, given the “2208” seen on the model number where “22” denotes 2022 and “08” hints at an August launch time frame. That seems like it as the Pad 5 series also debuted in August, so the August 2022 launch date for the Pad 6 makes sense.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi will release other Tablets with codenames L81A, L81, and L82. The L81A with a codename dagu will launch under the Redmi sub-brand. It will have a premium version (L81), which will launch under the parent company, as well as the L82 and L83 (version certified by EEC) to complete the series.
We expect Xiaomi to unveil four Tablets in August, Xiaomi Pad 6, Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro 5G, alongside the Redmi Pad. Unfortunately, features of the Tablet remain scarce, but if the August launch date is correct, we hope to learn more in the coming weeks.
