Xiaomi partners with YouTube to give its phone users a free premium subscription
Xiaomi has announced its partnership with YouTube to give its smartphone users a free premium subscription. The Chinese company made the announcement a couple of hours ago, which will see those who purchased their recently released flagship and budget phones enjoy the benefits of the YouTube Premium service. Interestingly, the promotion period will run for one year but seem exclusive to some regions.
According to Xiaomi Global Director of Business Development, “With users consuming more and more online video content every year, we believe it is important to let users experience quality content in new ways. We’re happy to work with YouTube to allow Xiaomi customers to watch the content they love uninterrupted. We hope this will be the beginning of a long-standing relationship between us and YouTube that will ultimately benefit our users.”
YouTube Premium lets you watch your favorite videos without ad interruptions. Also, you can download these videos to watch on the go, and it supports background play.
