Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro 5G officially debuts

Finally, after so many leaks, the Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro 5G is a reality. The Chinese tech giant has integrated a lot of features in this smartphones to explore from and following the debut, we have the official features, not rumours this time. Let’s see what we’ve got.

Official features of the Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro 5G 

The Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro 5G has been officially launched with some impressive features. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and comes in two memory configurations: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The phone has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB and runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 with two major Android version upgrades and three years of security patches.

The POCO M6 Pro features a 6.79″ 90Hz Full HD+ LCD display with a peak brightness of 550 nits and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass. It has an 8MP front-facing camera in a centered punch-hole design and two cameras on the back – a 50MP main and a 2MP depth sensor.

The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging with the included adapter going up to 22.5W. It also has 5G connectivity, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The POCO M6 Pro is IP53 rated for water and dust resistance.

It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro 5G is a rebranded version of the Redmi 12 5G, with a revised back cover design. The phone will be available exclusively through Flipkart in India starting from August 9, in Power Black and Forest Green color options. The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at INR10,999 ($135/€120), and the 6GB/128GB model is priced at INR12,999 ($160/€140). Customers using an ICICI Bank credit/debit card can get an immediate INR1,000 ($12/€11) discount on their purchase.
