The Xiaomi Redmi 10 debuts with a design that has a striking resemblance to the Mi 10 Ultra. It will be difficult to differentiate both phones with their camera island. That would draw attention to the device, but the sub-$200 price tag coupled with the compelling specs will always be the game-changer.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Specs
The Redmi 10 comes in three colors – Pebble White, Carbon Gray, and Sea Blue. It might be an entry-level device but has the design of a premium phone. The device and Mi 10 Ultra have a similar design, especially with the Carbon Gray option. That’s for the back panel, as you will immediately see the difference once the device is flipped.
On the front panel is a 6.5-inch IPS panel with a thin bezel and a center punch hole for the selfie camera. At back is where four sensors are housed in a rectangular camera island. The volume rocker, power button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner, maintains their usual position, same with the USB-C port. The top frame has the headphone jack and a single speaker grill, while the other sits at the button frame.
Redmi 10 display
The device sports an impressive display for its price tag. It features an adaptive sync display that can alternate 45 Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz, depending on what’s displayed. Interestingly, the panel supports HDR, meaning it will playback HDR content seamlessly on most streaming channels. Also, the 6.5-inch LCD panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass to complement the sturdy design.
Redmi 10 performance
Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G88 Octa-Core processor. It is aided with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMCC storage. Outside of the box, the device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5, meaning it will get the Android 12 and MIUI 13 upgrades.
Redmi 10 camera
One of the Redmi 10 specs that impressed, is arguably the camera. From the design to the sensors, Xiaomi hot everything spot on. It has a similar camera island to the Mi 10 Ultra, and that will draw attention. On the island are four sensors – primary 50MP, 8MP Ultra-wide, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensors. The front selfie houses a single 8MP shooter for selfies and face ID.
Redmi 10 battery and security
The Redmi 10 features a beefy 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. You get a 22.5W brick instead, and surprisingly, the device supports 9W reverse charging. As for security, it’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It doubles up as the power button, and that seems to have become Xiaomi’s latest trend.
Redmi 10 price and availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 price starts at $179 for the 4/64GB variants and goes up to $199 for the 128GB ROM with 4G of RAM. There is a more premium variant – 6/128GB models that start at $219. The device will be available globally and would soon be available on Mi.com and other official retail stores.
