Xiaomi Redmi 12 series has arrived on the global markets 

Xiaomi had an event in India and the brand has just unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi 12 series to the global markets and it’s just similar to the one released in China. According to Xiaomi, it’s the Redmi 12 series 5G so we will probably be getting a 4G version later on. But let’s take a look at what the brand is offering with the Redmi 12 series(comprising the vanilla Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Pro+).

Features of the Xiaomi Redmi 12 series 

First off, from the Xiaomi Redmi 12 series, there’s the vanilla version which will be taking up the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip. Redmi Note 12 has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display equipped with a whopping 120Hz screen refresh rate(similar to what you can find in the market these days). It gets a dual camera setup with the 48MP sensor being the main shooter that’s also equipped with PDAF. 

The phone goes on sale for INR15,499 ($187/€175) for the 4/128GB variant or INR17,499 ($210/€200) for the 6/128GB by January 11 via mi.com, Amazon or retail outlets. You get to pick from either the Green or Black colour variants. The Pro version of the Xiaomi Redmi 12 series is a bit smaller than the vanilla version however with the Dimensity 1080 chipset and a whopping 67W wired charging. It houses a 50MP camera(another upgrade over the vanilla) and a 5000 mAh battery. 

Available in Black, Blue and Pink colours, the smartphone goes on sale for INR24,999 ($300/€285) for the base 6/128GB version, INR26,999 ($325/€307) for 8/128GB mid-tier model and INR27,999 ($340/€320) for top 8/256GB spec. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is offering a $37 discount if you order the smartphone by January 11 from Mi stores, Flipkart and other retail partners. 

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+, the top tier of the three smartphones has a few features that make it “Pro+”. There’s the 200MP main sensor and the whopping 120W fast charging. It, however, has a 5000 mAh battery and is about the same size as the others. Available in Black, White and Blue colours, the smartphone goes on sale for INR25,999 ($315/€295) for the base 8/256 GB variant, while the 12/256GB is INR28,999 ($350/€330) with applicable discounts. 

Starting from January 11, you can order the smartphone from mi.com, Flipkart and other retail partners, just like the other Pro version. Meanwhile, there’s the Redmi Note 12 Discovery (China exclusive) and the Note 12 Speed(which is yet to be established).
