Xiaomi Redmi 5 Going on Sale in India on March 20
Xiaomi recently announced Redmi 5 in India, and will go on sale on March 20. The sales will be exclusively for Amazon India and Mi.com.
The Redmi 5 is the smaller version of Redmi Note 5, already selling in India, but known as Redmi 5 Plus in other markets.
A quick refresh on the Redmi 5 Specs includes, 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio panel with 1440 x 720p resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset, coupled with either 2/3GB ram and 16/32GB memory option.
On the camera is 12MP primary shooter with f/2.2 aperture lens and phase detection Autofocus. On the front is 5MP selfie snapper with beauty software 3.0.
Packed under the slim body is 3000mAh battery, with 10W standard charging through Micro USB port. Out of box, the phone runs Android OS 7.1.2, based on MIUI9.
The phone will officially go on sale from March 20, at exactly 12:00 IST. It will be priced at 7,999INR (123$) for 2/16GB, while the 3/32GB memory version will be sold at 8,999INR (138$).
