Xiaomi promised to make 5G smartphones available and affordable this year, and we have seen them do just that. The company has already released Mi 10 Lite, Mi 10 Youth, Mi Note Lite, Redmi K30 5G, and Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition all with 5G support and very affordable. To make 5G phones more affordable, the company has officially released the Xiaomi Redmi K30i in China, with an asking price of $262.
Xiaomi Redmi K30i is a replica of the Redmi K30 that debuted at the tail of last year. However, the primary camera lens is down to 48MP instead of 64MP, but it’s still a Quad arrangement. The primary camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor for portrait effect.
Around the front panel is a 6.67-inch LCD panel of 1080p resolution, surrounded by narrow bezels. The screen is TÜV Rheinland certified and refreshes at 120Hz for enhanced screen experience. There’s an oval cut-out for the dual 20MP and 2MP selfie camera, while the fingerprint this time is moved to the side.
Running inside the Xiaomi Redmi K30i is the Snapdragon 765G Octa-Core processor. It’s paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The battery capacity is 4500mAh and supports 30W, which should deliver a full charge in 53 minutes.
The device keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack while featuring a Hi-Res audio. It also supports Dual-frequency GPS, smart PA loudspeaker, and outside-of-the-box, Xiaomi Redmi K30i runs Android 10 based on MIUI 11.
