[MIUI 12.5 released] Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 to start seeding this month

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series phones are still waiting for the stable MIUI 12.5 update. Although the device launched when the latest iteration of MIUI was already released, it was still a beta version, and hence, the company had to pre-install the phones with MIUI 12. Meanwhile, Redmi Note 10 Pro has since upgraded to a new version, while the Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 update is yet to start seeding. Hopefully, the update will be released this month as Xiaomi moves to focus on the next iteration of MIUI, supposedly launching this month.

Xiaomi will probably push with the August release for the MIUI 13, although the next Android skin needs further polishing. According to one of the company’s executives, the update will focus on optimization, and of course, stability as previously promised. And given that timeframe for the unveiling, we expect more Xiaomi phones to start pushing the MIUI 12.5 update this month as well. One notable device still waiting for the update is the Redmi Note 10, and we expect the update to start seeding soon.

It’s been weeks since an update was pushed to the device, making us believe the next rollout will be an upgrade to MIUI 12.5. The last build brought the May security patch, meaning the device is due for a new update this month. Perhaps, the Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 update will bring the August patch, depending on when the update starts seeding.

Also, we expect the update to optimize performance, and hopefully, bring back the second space feature. Meanwhile, you can enable it on your Redmi Note 10 with the activity launcher, for now, pending when Xiaomi enables it by default. Of course, there are a few other omissions and bugs which hopefully, will be fixed with the MIUI 12.5 update. Meanwhile, it is unclear when the update will start seeding, but you can keep an eye on our tracker page for new information.

The Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 update is now rollout out. It is the Global variants that are receiving the update with a stable MIUI 12.5.2.0 RKGMIXM build. We expect a wider rollout in the coming days. However, if you device is running the Global Stable ROM, you can download the ROM here.
