Details of Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus have started surfacing

As we begin to acquaint ourselves with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series, whispers of its successor—the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus—have already started swirling in the online realm. Let’s delve into the insights gathered thus far.

What we know of the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus

Xiaomi has given the green light for the 2312DRA50C and 23090RA98C models in China, indicating an imminent launch of these smartphones in the country. While the marketing names are yet to be officially associated with these model numbers, they have been confirmed as part of the Redmi Note 13 family.

Both these smartphones are slated to come equipped with 5G chipsets, with the Dimensity 9200 Plus potentially headlining the series as the flagship model. These devices share close dimensions at 161 x 74 mm and sport 6.67-inch OLED panels boasting a resolution of 2,712 × 1,220 pixels. Interestingly, the 2312DRA50C stands thinner at 7.98 mm compared to the 9.0 mm profile of the 23090RA98C—a parallel reminiscent of the distinctions between the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Moreover, these dimensions represent a more compact build compared to the previous Redmi Note 12 Pro lineup, measuring 163 x 76 x 88.9 mm.

Intriguingly, despite a nominally larger battery capacity, the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) reports that the 2312DRA50C holds a lighter form than the 23090RA98C. The former is certified with a 5,020 mAh battery, while the latter boasts a 4,880 mAh capacity. However, the 23090RA98C weighs approximately 204 g, which is 17 g more than the 2312DRA50C.

Adding another layer of distinction, the 23090RA98C model flaunts more RAM options (16 GB/18 GB) compared to the 2312DRA50C. This suggests that Xiaomi might position the former as a higher-tier variant of the latter. If this speculation holds true, we can anticipate the grand unveiling of the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus alongside the Redmi Note 13 series, potentially towards the latter part of the year. As the stage is set for these new offerings, the anticipation for the next chapter in the Redmi Note legacy continues to build.
