Xiaomi sub-brand looks to continue its dominance on the mid-range segment by adding a new phone to its Note series smartphone line. The company just announced the ninth generation of the Redmi Note, which resurrected the Max variant as well.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch 1080p resolution LCD. On the screen is a punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera, secured under a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The back is also made of Gorilla Glass 5 while frame is designed using plastic. Under the helm is SD 720G 8nm Qualcomm processor with frequency speed of 2.3GHz, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. At the back of the Xiaomi Note 9, Pro is a Quad-camera bump. It houses a 48MP primary sensor paired with 8MP 119-degree ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner is missing at the back but comes off the frame, just like we have seen on the Redmi K30.

And for the first time, the Redmi Note features a 5020mAh battery. It supports 18W fast charging via USB-C port and luckily, the package comes with the fast charging adapter. The device supports P2i splash coating.

The Xiaomi Note 9 Pro starts at $175 ( INR 12,999) for the base 6GB/64GB version. The more premium version starts at $215 ( INR 15,999) in colors of Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black.

You will be able to order the device from March 17 in India through the company official site, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and Amazon.in. There’s no date as to when the device can be purchase through retail stores of the Global availability.
