While Google is expected to release the Android 14 stable update with the September 2023 security patch tomorrow, Xiaomi is already rolling out the latest security patch. The Chinese company has improved in its security patch rollout and keeps improving. 

The Xiaomi September 2023 security patch update is rolling out to limited users with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G / POCO X4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11S / POCO M4 Pro 5G receiving the update. It’s rolling out with version numbers MIUI 14.0.3.0 TKCMIXM and MIUI 14.0.4.0 TKEINXM, respectively. Given the build numbers, the rollout is exclusive to global and Indian users.

As expected, the latest release bumps the Android security patch to September 2023 to increase system security and stability. Also, it improves performance and resolves bugs. Unfortunately, Google hasn’t released the latest patch bulletin, and hence, we don’t know the security vulnerabilities patched.

Xiaomi has now released the September 2023 security patch update to more devices. The latest patch is seeding for Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE global with a version number MIUI 14.0.6.0 TKOMIXM. It’s also available for the Indian variants but with a different build number – MIUI 14.0.7.0 TKOINXM. As expected, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to September 2023 to increase system security.
