Seems Google isn’t done considering that adding to the tweaks to YouTube Music like recently-played tile tweak and the others, the brand still rolls out the latest YouTube music update which adds the Android 13’s Media Controls UI, quite interesting.
The YouTube Music update is version 5.16 targeting Android 13 as it brings in the Google Android 13‘s Media Controls UI in addition to a few changes. Screenshots obtained from sources show how the cover art is seen in the background. Adding to this, there are the themes and color backgrounds that take the same aesthetic as the cover art.
The YouTube Music icon is spotted at the top left corner and looking underneath is the artist and the song, the right house the large play/pause icon. Furthermore, the progress bar has a bit of animation and it’s located at the bottom while the repeat and shuffle icons are seen at the bottom right. However, the UI doesn’t feature the like and dislike button seen on previous models.
Availability of the latest YouTube Music update with Android 13’s Media Controls UI
The update is only available for a few users and it hasn’t been fully rolled out on the Play store but as the trend goes with updates, it will be made available fully soon. Following the rollout of the YouTube Music update and the expected Android 13, the Big G might just be cooking up other application updates in preparation for Android 13.
Google has rolled out 4 beta releases of Android 13 and the stable version should be anytime soon, sources proposed October though.
