Full Pocophone F1 MIUI 11.0.8.0 update changelog and feedback

Pocophone F1, since yesterday, has been receiving a new update coming along with the April security patch. The update has a version number – MIUI 11.0.8.0 QEJMIXM, and weighs in at 1.9GB with just an updated Android Security Patch and improved system security on the changelog. From the Benchmark score obtained with the MIUI 11.0.7.0 and the new MIUI 11.0.8.0, it shows there’s about a 7% increase in the device performance. Before the new Pocophone F1 update, the device benchmark score was 514 on a single core and 2112 on multi-core. That increased to 521 and 2232 respectively after the recent update.

  • Charging speed increased: 106 minutes for a full charge
  • Mi Mover now a system app
  • New design for the security app
  • Override dark mode works fine
  • New Mi browser
  • Super wallpapers work with theme app
  • Full-screen ID works fine
  • Wi-Fi and hotspot performance are pretty good
  • Gesture Navigation is spot on

Feedback

  • Gesture assistance setting turned off by default
  • Camera quality dropped. 
  • Using the camera on full brightness outdoors may cause your device to heat. It will show the device is heating up and could not use features
  • Camera mode works very fine
  • No improvement in the gaming performance
  • The system may lag after continuous usage, just reboot and everything will work fine again

From the Pocophone F1 MIUI 11.0.8.0 update changelog and feedback, that’s has been reported yet. We don’t think the update worth the upgrade, considering the massive 1.9GB package. Also, with MIUI 12 will be launching Globally on May 19, it would just be best to wait and upgrade to MIUI 12 instead. 

Nevertheless, the only serious issue is the heating, but thats if the camera is used at full brightness outdoors. However, that can easily be avoided. Thus, if you don’t mind, follow this link to download the OTA ROM and flash using the Recovery method.
