The Redmi K20 series debuted last year, running stable Android 9 on top of MIUI 10. It has already picked up Android 10 and two MIUI updates: MIUI 11 and 12, and will also receive the MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 13. The former is expected to start seeding very soon, at least, in China for closed beta testers. According to our previous report, the next development ROM for the Redmi K20 Pro will arrive with Android 11. It’s still unclear, though, when Xiaomi plans to start sending out the update, which will signal imminent arrival of Android 11 for Mi 9T Pro users. And while we wait, a new stable update for the Redmi K20 Pro is now live in China.
The new update started arriving a few hours ago and should have already made it to all eligible users for beta preview. The preview takes a few days, after which the public will start getting the update. You’re going to receive a package with a version number, MIUI 12.0.6.0 QFKCNXM, and that weighs in at about 391MB.
As per the changelog, the new stable update for the Redmi K20 Pro comes with “increased system stability and reduced system lag.” It also bumps the security patch level to the latest one while fixing some minor bugs and optimizing system performance. We expect the update to arrive in the next couple of days, but you can make use of the links below for a manual flash.
Note: when you encounter an error flashing the ROM via the Recovery method, know it’s because the rollout is limited. You should exercise patience and try again after some days, or wait for the OTA.
