With Xiaomi currently testing the MIUI 12.5 update, there was a feeling the company will abandon everything and focus on bringing the build to stable ROM users. So far, from what it looks like, the company isn’t prioritizing the MIUI 12.5 as it starts rolling out yet another Android 11-based MIUI 12 update. This time, the Mi Note 10 Lite Android 11 build has just gone live and is for global users.
The Mi Note 10 Android 11 update started rolling out a couple of hours ago. It’s a “Beta stable” build, meaning only a few selected users will receive the update for preview. They’ll preview the build for bugs and report back to developers. And in the absence of bugs, the public will start getting the update in the coming days.
The update will arrive with a version number, MIUI 12.1.1.0 RFNMIXM, and weighs in at 2.3GB. Of course, it’ll come with a stable MIUI based on Android 11. Also, part of the build is bug fixes, system optimization, and an updated security patch level. For now, only the global ROM users will get a notification for the update, but we anticipate the arrival in other regions in the coming days.
Meanwhile, it’s recommended that you backup your data before installing the Mi Note 10 Lite Android 11 update. The reason is due to compatibility issues with some apps, which can be fixed by performing a factory reset. You’ll restore the backup after resetting your device, but you should ignore that if you don’t notice any lag or issues (after the installation).
