The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu Edition becomes the latest phone to bag MIUI 12.5 Android skin. It’s the same device as the Mi CC9 but with the more optimized camera hardware. Also, the phone didn’t make it out of China, unlike the latter that sold globally as Mi 9 Lite. There’s also the Mi CC9E, which is a rebadged Mi A3. Unfortunately, Xiaomi is yet to start pushing stable Android 11 build to the device, but hopefully, it’ll arrive with MIUI 12.5.
Meanwhile, it’s a different situation of the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. The device has since received the Android 11 build and has started pushing a stable MIUI 12.5 update. Of course, it brings the features of the latest iteration of MIUI, but as a device released roughly two years ago, some of the features are not supported. But then, MIUI is now smoother, lighter, and faster, thanks to the 20 times more rendering power. Also, power consumption has been reduced while the update has addressed most bugs facing the device users.
That said, it’s recommended that you download the stable MIUI 12.5 update for Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu Edition. But it might take a while before the update would arrive on your device. It’s a limited rollout for now, and as such, would arrive for select users for preview. The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RFECNXM.
