Xiaomi started the stable MIUI 13 deployment with the Pad 5 series before pushing the update to Mi 11. We are expecting builds to start seeding for the Mi 11 Ultra/ Pro, but it turns out Xiaomi isn’t following a particular sequence. The company has released the Redmi K40/ POCO F3 stable Android 12-based MIUI 13 update. However, it’s a limited rollout to allow time for Mi Pilots to preview the build.
As expected, the Redmi K40 / POCO F3 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.2.0 SKHCNXM. It weighs 4.2GB and comes with all the expected features. These include features of Android 12, although you might not notice because of MIUI.
The newly released MIUI 13 features are also part of the package. It includes a new MiSans Font, New Wallpapers, Improved security features: Fraud protection, privacy watermark, face verification protection. There has been about a 15% improvement in app fluency with third-party applications, while system apps have seen 23% fewer dropped frames.
Interestingly, the update will bring a new control center, but it seems to be limited to closed beta testers. Xiaomi has already started rolling out the revamped interface in China, but you can enable it on your global models via this link. Meanwhile, it’s unclear when the Global models of the Redmi K40 will start getting the current build, but we expect the rollout in the coming weeks. You can follow our tracker page to know when the update is available for your device.
