It’s been a couple of weeks since Xiaomi presented MIUI 13 to global users. They have also presented the latest iteration of MIUI India but delayed the rollout due to the Chinese Holiday. Developers are now back to work and have released the latest closed beta update release Note. It shows Android 12 for the Xiaomi Pad 5 has started. Unfortunately, the global version misses out on receiving the upgrade with MIUI 13 as deployment starts for the Xiaomi Pad 5 Globally.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 series Tablets were the first to receive the current iteration of MIUI. It’s called ‘MIUI 13 for Pad’ and it brought some fascinating features to seamlessly manage the large display. According to Xiaomi, they have optimized floating windows, and it’s possible to resize them. Also, there’s now support for opening two floating windows simultaneously. And like your computer keyboard, MIUI 13 for Pad supports custom system button shortcuts.
Meanwhile, the global Xiaomi Pad 5 MIUI 13 update is based on Android 11. Although Android 12 is under internal testing for the device, it will take weeks before reaching the global units. However, we recommend installing the current MIUI 13.0.1.0 RKXMIXM to get all the latest features and optimizations ahead of the Android 12 release.
As usual, the update is currently seeding for Mi Pilots for preview. That’ll last for a couple of days, and we expect the public rollout to start afterward. But there’s an option to install and download the ROM manually using the links below.
