Google plans to reach Android 13 platform stability next month and has released two beta previews of its upcoming Android OS. Although Xiaomi is part of the preview, the company is still upgrading some eligible devices to Android 12. They’re currently seeding the Xiaomi 12X Android 12 update in Europe.
Xiaomi 12X debuted alongside the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, but while the premium siblings debuted with Android 12 and MIUI 13 outside of the box, the affordable option runs on Android 11. Even the global version that debuted months after the Chinese release came pre-installed with Android 11, but that changes now, as the Chinese company brings Xiaomi 12X Android 12 update to Europe.
The update is currently limited to Mi Pilot members. It has a version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SLDEUXM and weighs 3.1GB. Arriving with the update is the April 2022 security patch to improve system security and stability. Also, the Android 12 permission notification that alerts you when an app is using your device camera, microphone, or location is part of the package.
