Xiaomi is still upgrading its device to Android 12 with the MIUI 13 update, although the Android 13 beta testing is ongoing. The company announced the preview phase for its flagship device, but still doing justice to eligible Android 12 phones. They’re currently rolling out the global Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Android 12 update to eligible users.
Launched in China last year, the device debuted with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5. It arrived on the international market with the same software and was recently upgraded to Android 12 with MIUI 13 in Europe. The same update has now arrived on the global variants, expected to start seeding for everyone soon.
The Global Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Android 12 update has a version number MIUI 13.0.1.0 SKTMIXM and weighs 3.1GB. It comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 12, April 2022 security patch, and other customization and improvements. Of course, the permission notification feature is part of the package, while apps can now open as floating around from the sidebar.
From feedback, the update is safe, but it has been reported that after the upgrade, operations became slow. Perhaps you might want to perform a factory reset to improve the speed, but we recommend backing up your files before.
