It’s been only a few days since the first Android 13-based MIUI build was released for the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. The duo is receiving a new update based on the upcoming OS to address issues from the first rollout. Of course, it’s still exclusive to Chinese models, but we hope to see a global release soon.
Xiaomi has been testing Android 13 internally since Google started testing. Recently, they released the build based on its MIUI skin to their premium phones – Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. As usual, the update left some bugs, and with the new Android 13-based MIUI build, some have supposedly been fixed.
The new update is part of the recently released China Public Beta build, with version numbers V13.1.22.8.4 (Xiaomi 12) and V13.1.22.8.3 (Xiaomi 12 Pro). It weighs 5.3GB and comes with bug fixes. They include fixes for the Wi-Fi, Always on Display, and Lock Screen issues. Below is the complete changelog.
Changelog:
[System]
Fix the problem that WIFI switch is automatically turned off in some scenarios
[Always on Display]
Fix the problem that style of the always on display cannot be selected
[Lock Screen]
Fix the problem that fingerprint cannot be unlocked in state of lock screen
Meanwhile, the new build for the Xiaomi 12 series is still based on Android 13 beta 3. We don’t expect any changes as the update is for bug fixes, and hopefully, the company will release the final beta in the coming days.
