Xiaomi will start rolling out the stable version of the MIUI 12.5 update from Q2 2021. The POCO X3, alongside the POCO F2 Pro, will get the update towards the end of that period. While we’re still waiting for the update to start seeding, which will probably bring Android 11, a new POCO X3 update has been released in India. However, it’s on a limited rollout and will arrive for limited users for preview. The public will receive the update after a successful preview, and we expect that in the next few days.
Meanwhile, as per those that received the update, it arrived with a version number – MIUI 12.0.9.0 QJGINXM – and weigh in at 91MB. It’s a security build that brings the January 2021 patch to improve device security and stability. Aside from bumping the security level, it also fixed some bugs and optimized device performance. We expect those in other regions to start getting the update very soon, but if you’re running the Indian ROM, you should scan for the new POCO X3 update via Settings>>>About Device>>>MIUI 12 logo.
And in case the update hasn’t arrived on your device, we have added a link below this post. You can access both the Full recovery and OTA ROMs and flash via the Recovery method. However, that might return an error, and that’s normal. When that happens, you should give it some days and try again or wait for the OTA to arrive.
