Download the latest global stable update – MIUI 12.0.2.0 RJWMIXM – below…
For some reason, some Redmi Note 9S users are still without the Android 11. It has been weeks since the device first received its first Android 11 build. However, developers have delayed the public rollout due to some bugs. As per reports from the Mi community forum, the update will only start rolling out when all the reported bugs have been fixed. That makes sense, but given how long users have waited and still waiting, it doesn’t look good. We think some of these bugs might be due to system optimization. Also, some apps are yet to adapt to the current Android OS, which a factory reset helps to correct. Probably for that reason is why Xiaomi has released a new Redmi Note 9S stable update.
The new Redmi Note 9S stable update is probably to fortify the device ahead of the planned Android 11 upgrade. Aside from that, it has pushed the Android security patch level to March 2020 and increased the system security. Meanwhile, those running the Turkish ROM are the ones receiving the update. It has a version number – MIUI 12.0.4.0 QJWTRXM – and weighs in at 604MB. You can use the link below and download it for manual installation, but you may get an error message. That means giving it a few days or waiting for a prompt notification for a new update to appear.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when Xiaomi will restart the Android 11 rollout for the Redmi Note 9S. Everything seems at a standstill as developers work to fix all the bugs introduced by the first build. However, that has taken enough time now, and we believe it won’t be long till the project restart commences. To stay updated, you should follow our Android 11 tracker page.
