Yesterday, at an event in China, Xiaomi officially introduced MIUI 12.5. They also unveiled their new flagship phone, Mi 11, with some fascinating features. After the event, those with successful MIUI 12.5 beta applications started receiving the MIUI 12.5 beta update. You can head to this link for all the features that came along with the update.
It’s mainly an improvement over the MIUI 12 and is expected to arrive for stable ROM users in April. Of course, the POCO X3 NFC will receive the MIUI 12.5 update and probably alongside Android 11, which is currently under testing.
It’s still unclear when both the MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 will arrive for POCO X3 NFC users, but those units in Europe (MIUI 12.0.7.0 QJGEUXM), Global (MIUI 12.0.7.0 QJGMIXM), and Turkey (MIUI 12.0.5.0 QJGTRXM) have a new update, which weighs in at about 333MB. The new update for POCO X3 NFC brings a new security patch to the device to improve the system security. For now, only selected users have received the update, and we anticipate a wider rollout in the coming days.
As per the changelog, the new update for POCO X3 NFC only pushed the security patch to November 2020. That’s underwhelming given that the Redmi 7A and 8A are on the January security patch. Nevertheless, we expect a new update to start arriving in the coming weeks, which will bring the latest patch for the device users.
To download this current build, you should check for a new update on the updater app (system updates). We have also added a link below this post for manual download and upgrade via the Recovery method. But before installing the update, make sure you backup your data, preferably to your PC.
