The Redmi 8A Dual is an improved version of the Redmi 8A. It debuted early this year with dual rear cameras, running MIUI 11 based on Android 9. It means the device is eligible for both MIUI 12 and Android 10, and according to the latest report, the Android 10 update for the Redmi 8A Dual has started rolling out.
Initially, we believed the update will arrive alongside MIUI 12, but that’s not the case now. The update is hitting eligible devices with a version number, MIUI 11.0.1.0 QCQINXM, and weighs in at 1.6GB. It could only bump the security patch level to August while improving the system security.

How to flash the Recovery ROM
After downloading the ROM, move it to your device’s internal memory. Head over to system updates and click on the three dots at the top right corner. There you have to select “update package” and then choose the ROM you just downloaded. The system will verify the ROM, after which the file will start decrypting.
