Xiaomi has been deploying the stable Android 12-based MIUI 13 update to its flagship phones in China. The global unveiling took place yesterday, of which the update is available for Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G. It’s expected to arrive on premium phones in the coming days, but it seems that Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9, and POCO M2 might grab the build before.
It seems the global MIUI 13 update will first arrive on mid-range phones. Perhaps, the company is looking to see how the latest iteration of MIUI will perform on its affordable offerings. So far, the build has been stable, and it looks like Xiaomi is getting it together. There hasn’t been an issue of bugs, but it seems the company introduced MIUI 12.5 Enhanced as MIUI 13 to the global models, given the features it presents.
Nevertheless, with the update coming with Android 12 to eligible users, many people are anticipating the release. Interestingly, Xiaomi has started testing Android 12 for Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9, and POCO M2. According to Xiaomiui, the device recently received an internal Android 12 build, meaning the device will get the current version of Android.
Before now, it was unclear whether the device will get Android 12, but that has been confirmed now. The devices will probably receive a new OS with stable MIUI 13, and hopefully, the update will arrive in the coming days. That said, we recommend you stay connected to our Android 12 tracker page to know when the phone starts pushing the update.
