[Update] Global Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G starts getting Android 12 with a stable MIUI 13 update

Xiaomi will be presenting its latest iteration of MIUI – MIUI 13 on January 26 during the unveiling of Redmi Note 11 series phones. We expected the update to start seeding after the event, but the company is ahead of schedule. Interestingly, it’s the mid-range offerings that are receiving the update, with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G Android 12-based MIUI 13 update the latest to start seeding.

Earlier, we reported that the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro have started pushing Android 12 with MIUI 13 globally. The update has also arrived for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G, surprisingly, while the 5G variants have only received the update in China. However, it’s a stable beta release at the moment, pending when the preview is completed, before the public rollout will commence.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.2.0 SKQMIXM. It weighs 2.9GB and brings some of the expected features as few, probably exclusive to Chinese users are missing. The new security features and the MiSan Font are a few of the features missing from the latest release. However, the new MIUI 13 control center came with the package as well as the new widgets and wallpapers.

Also, the update has improved app fluency, thereby making performance more smooth. Of course, the Android version has been pushed to Android 12, while the security patch level is no January 2022 version. Xiaomi is pushing a subsequent Android 12-based MIUI 13 update to the global Mi 11 Lite 4G variants. Perhaps, the new build addresses the few reported bugs, while expanding the rollout to more people.
