After the Chinese holiday to celebrate New Year in that region, Xiaomi developers are back to work. They’re expected to start pushing the MIUI 13 closed beta builds in the coming hours, having released rollout Note. The Note shows that there has been an improvement on floating windows while Android 12 for Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro, and Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G are being prepared.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series Tablets were the first to receive the MIUI 13 update. And while all the phones that have got the update so far were upgraded to Android 12, the Mi Pad Tablets remain on Android 11. However, that’s about to change as the device is believed to start pushing the Android 12 update soon.
According to the latest report, ” Due to the major version upgrade of Android, Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G, Mi Pad 5 Pro, Mi Pad 5 will suspend the internal beta release from February 7, 2022.” Of course, the suspension starts from today, and it’s Android 12 being referred to as “Major version upgrade of Android.” Unfortunately, they didn’t say when the device will get the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update, but we anticipate that to be soon.
As usual, the Android 12 for Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro, and Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G will start in China. The closed beta testers will receive the update before it reaches the public. Hopefully, the update will be released in time before that global deployment, and with that, the international might receive Android 12 and MIUI 13 simultaneously.
