Xiaomi Users complain of Android Auto issues, battery drain, Unresponsive System UI, and Unstable Signal

While Xiaomi has been rolling out the stable Android 13-based MIUI 14 update for months, some users are just getting the upgrade for the first time. Although we haven’t had many issues with the upgrade, some users are having difficulties using their devices after upgrading to Android 13 with MIUI 14 update.

Android Auto issues, battery drain, Unresponsive System UI, and Unstable Signal

According to MIUI weekly bug report Vol. 115, five issues have been reported by Xiaomi users. They include Unresponsive System UI, Android Auto issues, battery drain, Mobile data not working/Signal not stable/cannot register to 5G.

These issues affect a particular Xiaomi phone, and hence, not everyone is experiencing them. The System UI issue is affecting the Redmi Note 10 Pro users running the Indonesian ROM (V14.0.2.0 TKFIDXM). Thus far, the company is still working on a fix and hasn’t said what the problem is or might be.

Xiaomi 11T Pro users are having issues with Android Auto, and it’s affecting all devices. And while Xiaomi is still analyzing the problem, there is a temporary solution. If you’re having issues with Android Auto, you should navigate to Settings >>Always-on display & Lock screen >>Notification effect set to None.

It seems the brain drain issue has been fixed for some people. Perhaps, the company is currently rolling out a fix, but exclusive to some users, as they wait for more feedback. The issue, which affects the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro users running MIUI 14.0.2.0 SKGRUXM, MIUI 13.0.3.0 SKGRUXM, and MIUI 13.0.10.0 SKFRUXM, was fixed in V14.0.5.0.SKGEUXM, V14.0.4.0.SKGRUXM, V14.0.1.0.TKFRUXM.

The network connectivity issues on the POCO X3 GT, where users running MIUI 14.0.2.0 TKPMIXM can not access 5G, haven’t been resolved. The company is still working on the issue, and hopefully, a fixed build will be released soon.

Meanwhile, if you recently upgraded your device to Android 13 with a stable MIUI 14 update, you might resolve some of these issues by performing a factory reset. However, we recommend backing up your files before attempting that in case things don’t go as planned.
