Android Pie update on Mi A1 imminent as device appears on Geekbench

Xiaomi has started rolling out Android Pie update but is only their first flagship phone of the year, MI Mix 2s, that has received the update. However, is like the Mi A1 will be the next to receive the update after the device spotted in Geekbench running Android Pie.

Meanwhile, it took Xiaomi months before delivering Oreo to their first stock Android phone, and considering the fact that the recently launched MI A2 is still on Oreo, we might still be far from seeing Android Pie update on MI A1. Most models that have passed through Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 have got almost the same score but MI A1 seems to have outscored them. Testing on a single core, the device scored 932 points while on multiple cores, it scored 4470 points. Probably the new Android OS must have spiced things up coupled with the 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor.

Since most smartphone companies have started rolling out Android Pie and the latest device now comes preloaded with the new OS. We have known some of its features which is basically on Artificial intelligence. The new OS brings full-screen gestures and new user interface. It also comes with adaptive brightness and adaptive battery, to learn how to optimize battery life by studying the usage pattern. The camera department will also improve, enabling portrait mode on a single camera.

Nevertheless, the Android Pie update on MI A1 remains a speculation until Xiaomi officially confirms that they have started rolling out update based on Android Pie to Mi A1. Again, looking at how Xiaomi rolls out Its update, MI A2 is likely to receive the update first before it finally gets to the Mi A1. Hopefully, the update might start arriving soon but for now, no official confirmation yet.
