Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max remains the only device to feature the Dynamic Island function outside-of-the box. The feature has been exclusive to Apple’s top-of-the-line flagship phones, with Android yet replicate. After months of waiting anxiously, it seems Android is about to imitate the feature while giving it a different name.
The first time we saw Dynamic Island working on an Android phone was a few months ago, with the help of a third-party theme. It was on Xiaomi phones, but few people could configure it due to the complexities. However, we might have seen the first company willing to include the feature on their Android device.
The upcoming Realme C-series device is supposedly debuting with a Dynamic Island clone. Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO, posted a photo on Twitter, which has since been deleted, to hint at an upcoming device with the pill-shaped camera cutout from the company.
There has also been a short video showing how the function would work on the device. Unfortunately, it’s no different from what some developers were able to create using a third-party theme on Xiaomi phones. The Mini Capsule, as the company calls it, only shows SuperVOOC charging and battery percentage.
For now, the feature lacks some functionality on Apple’s Dynamic Island. However, we believe the company will incorporate more features, since the development could be in the early days. Hopefully, they will reveal other functions of the Mini Capsule at the MWC next week.
