iPhone 14, the current flagship of Apple, is making waves and pulling off a huge amount of sales. Meanwhile, the brand is cooking up the Apple iPhone 15 and according to sources, it’s bringing in a slew of features that are quite impressive.
Supposed features of the Apple iPhone 15 from leaks
The impending Apple iPhone 15 series has been the subject of several leaks on the internet. While the iPhone 15 series will not be released until later this year, it is becoming evident that Apple will finally make the switch from Lightning to USB-C. Images said to be of the genuine phone are already making the rounds.
The first leak is what looks to be the base 6.1-inch Apple iPhone 15 in flesh, which was obtained by MacRumors through Twitter’s @URedditor. The design is from an early model known internally as D37 by Apple. The design is similar to that of the iPhone 14 despite being an entry-level model. The Dynamic Island, featuring the TrueDepth camera, is also there. All iPhone 15 devices are likely to have Dynamic Island.
The leaker also revealed the USB Type-C connector, which will be required to meet EU standards. To protect the source, the photographs are intentionally provided at poor resolution. While things may alter before the debut, this design appears to be the actual deal.
In addition to the standard Apple iPhone 15, we now have renderings of the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro. These renderings are based on CAD designs supplied to Apple’s supply chain. We’ve already covered the iPhone 15 Pro renderings, but now we have a new dark red color option to look at.
The design of the iPhone 15 Plus will be identical to that of the regular iPhone 15, with the addition of a Dynamic Island and a USB Type-C connector. 9to5Mac renders indicate lower bezels and minor adjustments to the device’s thickness (7.81 mm for the iPhone 15 Plus vs. 7.79 mm for the iPhone 14 Plus).
Each year, Apple releases special edition colors with the Pro versions; the iPhone 14 Pro is available in Space Black and Deep Purple. This year’s unique color for the Apple iPhone 15 Pro seems to be dark red. Apple, like the Apple Watch, is anticipated to produce the iPhone 15 Pro in titanium. Novel techniques must be developed to appropriately coat the titanium while taking into account extraneous considerations like manufacturing costs, yields, and so on.
It would be fascinating to see what color options Apple will provide with the Pro versions this year. Apple is also known to abandon substantially finished concepts. For example, the gold iPhone X never made it to market, but FCC leaks revealed the phone in its entirety.
The Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to include the A16 Bionic and a Qualcomm X70 5G modem, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the impending A17 Bionic, titanium chassis, curved design, and the required camera enhancements.
