While you can’t but applaud Apple for the impressive phones they put out there, the brand is coming up with another beauty, the Reality Pro Mixed headset and it might be debuting in June, according to sources.
Reality Pro Mixed headset debut date
According to the newest reports, Apple may unveil its Reality Pro Mixed headset during the WWDC Developers Conference in June. Nevertheless, TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated in a tweet today that the product may not be delivered until the third quarter of 2023, with the iPhone 15 series.
Last month, Kuo stated that Apple was encountering delays due to difficulties discovered during mechanical drop testing. Software development tools were also cited as a cause of the delay. As a result, the analyst revised his estimate and predicted that bulk selling of the AR/VR headgear will occur in the third quarter of this year rather than the second.
Kuo also dramatically cut his 2023 overall sales forecast from 800,000-1.2 million devices to 500,000 headsets. Some acquainted with the product claim that the Reality Pro is the most complicated device ever produced by Apple. It is projected to cost between $2,000 and $3,000 (in a prestigious area).
Apple has already introduced a device and then delayed it several months before launching it. We can state right away that this was done with the original iPhone and the initial Apple Watch. This is a good plan for Apple since it will allow developers to produce more programs for the device, which is important because no one wants to spend a lot of money on a headset only to find a barren App Store.
The Reality Pro Mixed headset will reportedly have 12 cameras, head and body tracking sensors, spatial audio, and a 4K micro-LED display for each eye, as well as a novel operating system called xrOS (extended reality Operating System).
A Digital Crown will be used to transport people from the immersive realm of Virtual Reality (with accurate representations of certain locales) to the world of Augmented Reality. The latter adds a layer of computer-generated data on top of a live broadcast. The Reality Pro is also said to be powered by a 5nm Apple M2 processor with 20 billion transistors.
