Google has been working on improving its Android OS to improve user experience. With the Android 12 release, the company brought a ‘Material You’ design that supports Monet wallpaper theming system. While Google has adapted the function on its apps, third-party apps are yet to ‘fully’ support the feature. Perhaps, another way to improve the user experience on Android, the company has revealed they will soon introduce the Play as you download. The Play as you download was announced by Google in July last year. It’s a function that would allow users to open apps or games while it’s been…

It has only been a couple of months since the stable MIUI 13 was released. The upgrade, which is rolling out with Android 12, has only made it to a handful of users, but that hasn’t stopped developers from bringing new changes. Perhaps, because the current iteration didn’t come with many changes, the company is now slowly adding the ones they feel will be ideal. They have redesigned the fingerprint customization interface while updating how the file manager dialogs are displayed. The Xiaomi MIUI skin is one of the best Android skins out there, but that hasn’t made the company…

Over the past few years, some MIUI features have been hit or miss, and perhaps to the company, the mobile data usage option wasn’t that great. That could be the reason it was disabled with the upgrade to MIUI 12, but it seems the highly requested function is now making it back to the control center panel. It has been a couple of weeks since Xiaomi started deploying the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update, and not until recently did we hear about the update bricking phones. Supposedly, the update has bricked the Mi 11 Ultra, and going by reports, the device died after being upgraded from the updater app.  Xiaomi, for years, has come under fire because of the buggy MIUI updates. The company promised to look into its Android skin stability, which is possibly why the current iteration of MIUI didn’t present many virtual changes. That seems like it until recently when users started reporting a…

According to Counterpoint, the Xiaomi Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 were the only phones from the Chinese company on the top 10 best-selling smartphones of 2021. The list dominated by Apple’s iPhone has the Redmi 9A at number 7, while the Redmi 9 took the number 10 spot. That’s not surprising as the Redmi 9 series made up 22% of Xiaomi’s total sales last year, meaning the device is quite popular. Perhaps, that might be the reason it has been getting a timely security patch, with the company now seeding the March Android security patch.  Xiaomi Redmi 9A debuted in…
