The device will answer POCO X3 NFC and is going to be the first time since 2018, after the unveiling of POCO F1, that the company will release a non-rebranded Redmi phone. Xiaomi has already released some affordable 5G enabled smartphones into the market this year, and it doesn’t plan to slow down anytime soon. The company, as usual, is partnering with Qualcomm to make 5G enabled smartphones even more affordable from 2021. Qualcomm, a couple of days ago, announced it plans to release a 5G enable Snapdragon 4-series chip. We have all been expecting this for some time now, and finally, the Mi Mix 3 5G users can rejoice. A couple of months ago, there was big doubt if the Mi Mix 3 5G will receive the stable MIUI 12 update, given that the device still runs the pre-installed MIUI skin. Back in April, when Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 12 in China, the Redmi Note 8 was in a closed beta testing for Android 10, and because of that, MIUI 12 closed beta test was delayed for the device.
