Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro on August 29, 2019, and it will be exactly one year very soon since the device was released to the market. The device runs Mediatek Helio G90T SoC, which is the main driving force and is probably why the phone, even after all these months, still ranks third on best performing Android phones of July 2020.
The chart didn’t change much from the best performing mid-range phones last month. Aside from the Galaxy A71 displacing the Oppo Reno 2 at the 10TH spot and the Mi Note 10 lite moving up on the ranking, the list remains unchanged.
Reigning supreme once again on the best performing mid-range phones, is the Redmi K30 5G with a mean score of 315,219, which is lower than the score it obtained last month. Maintaining its position on the second spot is Huawei Nova 7i (308, 541), as well as Redmi Note 8 Pro (291,237), which is third.
Other devices on the list are Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. They occupy the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, while the Redmi Note 9 Pro is seen at the seventh spot, and farther down is the Redmi Note 9S, Mi Note 10 Lite, Mi Note 10, and the Galaxy A71.
It’s fascinating how the Redmi Note 8 Pro has outperformed most of the newly launched phones, especially the Redmi Note 9 Pro and 9S. And even after nearly one year, the device is yet to be displaced, at the third spot for at least, two consecutive months now.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro, no doubt, is a pretty decent phone and would deliver peak performance, especially during gaming. However, if you consider performance overtime and community support, then you might look at the Redmi K30 5G or even the Redmi Note 9 Pro or the Note 9S.
