In April this year, Xiaomi, under its sub-brand, Redmi, announced the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. The device is also known as Redmi Note 9S in some markets, but never made it to China, probably because it lacks 5G internet connectivity. That proved to be the case when the company released a 5G enabled Redmi 10X phone in that country, which is yet to make its global debut.

However, it now looks like the device will arrive on the global market as the Redmi Note 10. According to a recent report, a new Xiaomi smartphone has just bagged network access approval. The device has a model number, M2007J22C, and is being touted as the upcoming Redmi Note 10 smartphone.

Aside from the model number, a few details about the phone have also been revealed. It will feature MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC, which is the same SoC powering the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro 5G. With that said, the phone will support 5G networks, and when launched, will be among the best priced 5G smartphones.

The device is said to have up to 8GB RAM version and will run Android 10 out-of-the-box. It should be based on MIUI 12, obviously.

Of course, the device will come with a Pro model, which will probably make use of a Qualcomm Chipset. Other features of the phone might include a high refresh rate, NFC, and at least, a Quad-camera setup. And as said earlier in this post, it is going to be priced fairly, given that the Redmi 10X retails at $224 in China.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the device at the moment, but we hope to learn more in the coming days or weeks, depending on the launch time. We’d update this space once we get other information about the alleged Redmi Note 10 smartphone.
