Xiaomi will introduce the premium Mi 10 Ultra on August 11 to mark a in the smartphone world. Rumors earlier suggested the phone to be called Mi 10 Pro Plus, but according to the Co-founder and chairman, Lei Jun, the device will be sold as Mi 10 Ultra outside of China.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, just the name suggests, has been tipped to be the best performing Android phone when it launches. According to a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, “Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will shock the world”, and so far, the features of the phone don’t seem to drift from the context.
It’s said to debut with a 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED panel, which should be the size of a regular Mi 10. 6.67-inch panel to be exact. The charging speed will be up to 120W and wireless charging speed of 55W, while the battery capacity is believed to be 4,500mAh. Of course, the device will run the most powerful Qualcomm SoC, either the 865 or 865+.
There’s now a report suggesting an under-screen selfie camera for the device. It was Ross Young of DSCC, a tipster, who tweeted about the possibility of the under-screen camera. However, the volume will be ‘shockingly’ small, according to him. Perhaps, it might be a concept device just like the Mi Mix Alpha, or a special edition, Maybe Explorer version.
Interestingly, the renders of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra have started surfacing as well. The first pictures show a total of four cameras flanked by a LED flash. From the renders, one of the cameras will be capable of 120x periscope zoom, which is believed to be at the expense of the telephoto lens on the regular version.
Other rumored specs include an LPDDR5 RAM up to 12GB and UFS 3.1 storage up to 512GB. There are Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and an improved vapor-liquid cooling with three-dimensional heat dissipation.
