Xiaomi will introduce the Mi 10 Pro plus on August 11

What is expected to be the latest addition to the Mi 10 series, Mi 10 Pro Plus, has been on the rumor mill for quite some time now. And it turns out that Xiaomi will be introducing the device to mark a decade in the smartphone world, having started its journey ten years ago with the Mi 1.

The upcoming Xiaomi device hasn’t been officially called Mi 10 Pro Plus, but rather, Mi 10 Pro Extreme Commemorative Edition. It’s a rumor that suggested the former, which might not be entirely different, after what happened last year with the company launching a Mi 9 Pro Edition, which runs the Snapdragon 855+

The Mi 10 Pro Plus, as the rumor calls it, will be an upgraded Mi 10 Pro. It’s expected to feature an overclocked Snapdragon 865 processor with up to 12GB LDDPR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 512GB internal storage. Of course, it will retain the 108MP primary module, which will be probably be complemented with an additional three snappers.

It has also been rumored that the device will come with a 120W flash charge solution and a 55W wireless charging. The battery capacity is 4,500mAh, which will match the power-demanding features of the device. As expected, it will be Android 10 running on the device based on MIUI 12.

The display is the same size as the regular Mi 10 but features a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 90Hz. Other features of the display will include DCI-P3, HDR 10+, 180Hz Screen Sensing, up to 1200nit peak brightness, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Of course, everything about the device, except for the name and the launch date, which is August 11, remains a rumor, and we advise you to treat it as such. After the launch, we’ll then confirm the specs of the device, the price tag, and the region that’s going to receive the device.
