Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro design is still that of Mi 9 but now features a new Chipset. The device has Snapdragon 855+ under the hood and up to 12GB RAM. The screen retains the 6.39-inch OLED display and has in-display fingerprint built underneath. It still maintains the triple camera arrangement at the back while the front snapper remains 20MP lens.

Display
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro has a 6.39-inch OLED display with 1080 x 2340px resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 403PPI, and up to 90% screen-to-body ratio. It also features DCI-P3 for accurate color representation and HDR 10 for decent graphics that’ll enhance users experience.
Performance
Like the Mi 9, the device also features 103.8% NTSC color gamut, up to 600 nits of brightness, and sunlight 2.0 that improves contrasts and optimizes color display under sunlight.
While Xiaomi Mi 9 uses Snapdragon 855 SoC, the Mi 9 Pro uses the latest SD 855 plus with overclocked frequency. The chipset has one Kryo 485 core clocked at 1.96GHz, 3 at 2.42GHz, and 4 clusters at 1.8GHz. Also to make sure you never experience any lag, the device comes with 12GB RAM to withstand any level of multitasking.
There’s Adreno 640 GPU (700mHz) to deliver enhanced graphics and out of the box, the device will run Android 10 based on MIUI 11.
Camera
Unfortunately, there’s not much improvement in the camera module. At the back is 48MP f/1.8 aperture, 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 12MP telephoto lens. The sensor uses pixel binning technology to allow more lights, which then results in a brighter shot. All the four sensors have PDAF, Laser AF while only the telephoto lens is equipped with 2x optical zoom.

Storage
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro comes in multiple storage variants and so lacks expansion slot. The base version is 128GB 8GB RAM while other options include 256GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 12GB RAM, and 512GB 12GB RAM.
Battery
On the regular Mi 9 is 3300mAh battery but the Mi 9 Pro comes with much larger 4000mAh capacity. It supports 40W wired Quick Charge and 30W wireless charging. The 30W wireless charging can be achieved using Xiaomi special fan-cooled wireless pad.
Security
It was Xiaomi Mi 9 that first featured an in-screen fingerprint reader on the Mi flagship line. According to Xiaomi, it was the best in-screen reader to have graced a smartphone and so the company has transferred it to the Mi 9 Pro, which unlocks your phone on 0.1s.

The Mi 9 Pro price starts from $520 and will go as high as $605. It will be available in Dream White and Titanium black colors. The device is already available for pre-order and will officially go on sale in seven days.
