The Mi GetApps is Xiaomi’s Google Playstore alternative. It comes pre-installed on all Xiaomi phones that ship with MIUI Android skin, and that excludes those on the company’s Android One program. The Mi GetApps, interestingly, has the Google play store as an App. That comes in handy for Chinese ROM users that want to install Google play store without downloading the Google installer APK.
Aside from that, you also get other apps, and it offers more security. The Mi GetApps ensure each app is free from viruses and won’t compromise your device performance and security. It does this by scanning each app before installation. And to further improve the performance, Xiaomi is currently rolling out a new Mi GetApps v15.4.2. It comes with improved stability and performance and also fixed some bugs.
How to download and install the official Mi GetApps v15.4.2
You’ll receive a notification to update the Mi GetApps. However, if you missed that or did not get the notification, you’ll have to open the GetApps on your Xiaomi phone. In the search bar, search for “GetApps” when it shows up, click on update.
Alternatively, you can download the APK file and install it manually. To download the file, head over to the source link and scroll down. You’ll see a download button, click on it, and the app will start downloading. It’s a 16.51MB package and would take a little time to download. Head over to downloads folder on your phone to start the installation.

A new version of the Xiaomi Mi GetApps is available for download. The latest v17.6.2 has fixed some bugs and improved the overall performance of the app. It comes in a 27MB package and you can download from here
