Xiaomi has finally released a stable Android 10 update for Redmi Note 7. This was after months the device received a Beta build of the update in China. Since then, the Redmi 7A, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and the Redmi 7 have all got a stable Android 10, and just as expected, the update is now available for the Redmi Note 7.
The Stable Android 10 update for Redmi Note 7 carries a build number, MIUI 11.0.2.0 QFQCNXM. It bumps the security patch level to June, improved system security, and fixes some bugs.
The update is currently available to some selected users and will be made available for the public in a few hours. Unfortunately, only the Chinese variant of the device is getting a stable Android 10 update, as usual. But on the flip side, the update is now arriving, and given the time difference between Chinese and Global rollouts, the global users might have to wait for two weeks to get the update.
That goes contrary to early reports that suggested the stable Android 10 update for Redmi Note 7 will arrive as a part of MIUI 12. It’s more likely now that the update will arrive as a stable MIUI 11 update. It’s also possible things might be different for the Global users, because the second wave of MIUI 12 rollout will commence after the Dragon Boat Festival, which is likely when Stable Android 10 for Redmi Note 7 will arrive Global.
